all change

Well it's been all hands on deck with our little family for the last few months - hence the lack of updates on this here blog.

News on F since May:
She is finally sporting the beginnings of a bottom tooth with another not far behind.
She was mobile with the tried and tested bum-shuffle by early June...
This weekend that morphed into a full blow crawl...
During which time she has sussed out how to pull herself up on the side of any piece of furniture and traverse her way around.

Needless to say she is absolutely desperate to get fully mobile and will happily walk around with one of us holding her hands for minimal support.

She also grasped the concept of the baby walker at the weekend and can walk along behind that too -albeit at breakneck speed and with questionable levels of control.

Bumps and scrapes are now common place as she finds her way in the bipedal world.

Oh, and here's a pretty low res movie from the swings at the park.

vincent van flo

the first masterpieceF is now spending a day a week at nursery as K is back at work. We think we may have already struck gold (i.e. our future income is sorted) as she came back last week and had created the painting opposite.

And there was absolutely no input from the nursery nurse either ;0)

go go little flo

ooh arrgh me heartiesWhilst I've been rubbish and not keeping F's little blog up to date lots of developments have been taking place.

F is still not crawling but she is showing a definite interest in standing up and giving it the old Elvis the Pelvis hip swivel.

Photo opposite was taken on my birthday back in April and was just way too cute not to post.

first course

F enjoying her first mealWe started weaning F earlier this week and she's doing quite well. She started on the rather sloppy baby rice and had already progressed to food with much more texture.

Sweet potato, carrot, pear, apple and apricot have all the first stepping stones of her gastronomic journey.

We're not entirely sure how much of what we give her actually makes it into her little stomach as a fair proportion ends up all over her face and hands as you can see.

The next few weeks should be interesting as we'll be swiftly moving her onto mashed up adult foods...
