go go little flo

ooh arrgh me heartiesWhilst I've been rubbish and not keeping F's little blog up to date lots of developments have been taking place.

F is still not crawling but she is showing a definite interest in standing up and giving it the old Elvis the Pelvis hip swivel.

Photo opposite was taken on my birthday back in April and was just way too cute not to post.

first course

F enjoying her first mealWe started weaning F earlier this week and she's doing quite well. She started on the rather sloppy baby rice and had already progressed to food with much more texture.

Sweet potato, carrot, pear, apple and apricot have all the first stepping stones of her gastronomic journey.

We're not entirely sure how much of what we give her actually makes it into her little stomach as a fair proportion ends up all over her face and hands as you can see.

The next few weeks should be interesting as we'll be swiftly moving her onto mashed up adult foods...

5 months already

just realised that F has been with us for 5 whole months today.
Where the time has gone I really don't know.
One thing I am certain of however is that being a family rocks and it's hard to imagine what life was like before.

Well OK, that's not strictly true.

We went out for dinner/lunch a whole lot more, we went out on the razz and drank too much a whole lot more, and we were able to be spontaneous in order to eat/drink too much a whole lot more.

All of that said though, we're thankful that we have such a contented (at least for now) little girl, are a happy family unit and I certainly wouldn't change a single thing :)

like totally stokked

What with F now stuffing everything and anything she can lay her hands on in her gob we decided it was time to start planning for her weaning.

The time is booked for mid April and in preparation we've taken delivery of her new high chair.

It's designed by Stokke, a Scandinavian company and is fully adjust able so should be fine right up until F is fully grown.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp which F loves sitting in
As you can see, there is no tray attached which means that she can actually sit at the table and fully participate in mealtimes with us.

We've popped her in a few times now and she seems to like it.
Will get some photos on the blog v soon.
